    Well guys, I'm brazilian.... I'm building my coupe super 1976 maverick ... He originally was 4 cylinder, but now is V8-302 ...

    I'm doing the preparation for painting by myself ... I'm not professional, but I am taking the help of a friend who is a painter of the highest quality and always willing to give me advice and tips ...

    In the pictures you can see the car was not very good painted, some rust was bursting mass...

    I don't know the name of this product in the U.S, but it's applied directly on the plate to protect to the rust... It's a kind of primer...


    I apologize for my bad English, but I use the translator, that is not perfect :rofl2:

    i think we would refer to it as high build self etching primer usually (or at least the custom paint jobs i helped on) it is used on the bare metal of the car after themetal fab process and inital filling process to not only protect the metal but cause of its high build also as a leveler after the body work is finshed then a lighter coat of base primer if you will is used then base coat

    or at least that is my view of it
