I'm so sorry to hear about your wife, Yes getting lost in the garage for a while will be good for the soal....
gas tank just finished installing my tank looks good up in there. i painted under where it goes. ican still drive the car enuff to move it around before the capri motor goes in.
Im on vacation this week and my motor is going in too... Almost two years sitting on the floor.... What tank did you use ?
the one that came with the car, i dont no if the origanal owner replaced it, but it was rust free, suprising being where i live. i just primed and painted it
Very sorry to hear of the loss of your wife. I've been reading this section to learn about the things that go bad on these cars. I got mine about a mouth ago, its in pretty good shape over all. Sounds like your car is coming along. Good luck with the build.
thanks, got to have my son put some new pic.s up to show what it looks like now. it's not the same car it was!
havent been doing to much to the mav the last couple weeks. been having ti work on my daily driver, a bronco2 need isay more lol, no but ive been busy with that hopfully next week i can devote some time to the mav
started removing the motor and trans from the capri yesterday. pretty straight forward stuff, nice relaxing greasy stuff im wonderin about the rear axle, wether or not to mod it to fit the mav has anyone here used one from a fox body?
just about ready to pull the motor out of the capri. i went to pick up a motor hoist and the guy wasnt there so tommorrow is another day
Awesome, I pulled my 1st engine by my self it was easier than I thought it would be... What did you find out about the rear end ? I think it would take some modding to make it work...
i havent found anything out yet, but i think i can make it work. my dad and i are picking up the hoist this morning so the motor should be hanging pretty soon
got the motor out couple days ago, i forgot the camera i did get some pics of the motor in the capri. the motor is out its sitting on a home made stand until i can get a real engine stand,
started mocking the capri seats to fit the mav today. got the earge to hear it run so i put a battery in it put some fresh gas in it couple pumps it was running man those 200's are pretty dependable little motors. i split the exhaust with no mufflers so it does sound pretty good for a 6
