you got a jewel compared to a lot I have seen, it has been protected or in good weather all these years. motor looks clean with valves covers off, the 302 were great motors if you took care of them,

    Thanks everyone.....

Between work/overtime and X-mas related stuff I haven't had anytime to work on the car..... I did make the threaded stand off's for the lap belt and crotch strap mounts last week at work..... Friday morning I was able to get the stand off on the driver side crotch strap mount, then I put reinforcement plates with stand off's on both sides of the tunnel for the inner lap belt mounts..... I worked OT again today so no progress was made again.....

Here's the ds crotch strap mount with stand off.....

and the inner lap belt mounts on both sides.....

I was able to get the outer lap belt reinforcement/mounts made and welded in this morning..... After that I cleaned all the crap and metal grinding dust out of the inside of the car, then I put it back on the ground again..... Now I can move it outside so I can give the shop a much needed cleaning, mabye then I'll be able to find things again when I'm working.....

Here's the outer lap belt mounts.....

    Thanks.....

I have had very little time the last couple weeks between work and the holidays to spend much of it at the shop, but I finally finished cleaning my shop this morning and got to work on the car a little today..... Started cleaning up the under side of the floor pan, no pic's today because there just wasn't much progress.....

Sounds good too me..... At least this way you don't have to get some one to help when tightening the bolts.....

I have still been working too much to get anything done..... However My boss at my part time job was kind enough to loan me a car rotissarie which will make the under chassis work all so much easier..... I just have to make a couple adaptor brackets so it will fit my car since he doesn't have anything for early unibody Fords yet.....

Here's a couple pic's of it after inital set up, just need to get the rest of the suspension off the car and make the adaptor pieces.....

I home built a rotissarie out of two 1,000 pound engine stands and it was the best thing I ever could have done for myself. Nothing falling in my eyes or hair, I could work on the bottom on the car like a painter working at his easel. :D
