seems like its only letting me post like one picture at a time, so i figure i'd post a more recent picture of the motor, i had a good tax return so i had purchased afr 185s with the competition porting on them.

i also have a s&w 10 pt roll bar that i'm going to be putting in the car this winter, along with doing a blowthrough turbo build.

Hey Mike, Me and a buddy of mine were talking about making a trip down to Cecil County MD to do some racing. Cecil is the fastest track on the east coast. Wanna go with us? When we decide on a date that we both can do I was going to post it on Robbinsville Hotrods site to see if anybody else was interested. The air is starting to get cooler, now it just has to stop raining! I wanna get my mustang in the 11's!

i ended up taking my car to the track after borrowing a radiator off john holden [thank you so much worked out perfect]

went down with my brother my dad and a few friends, my brother ran first out of us and got his 10 second pass in his 94 mustang that hes been waiting for. 10.94 i think was his first pass. best was 10.80s at 126.

ended up going after him, first run with this set up. i tried foot braking it and with the stock stall converter it ended up loading up and for the first half of 1st gear it was flat on its face. ran 14.009 at 104. third run just left off idle and ran 13.8 at 104. i was pretty happy with that. still not pulling hard off idle. didn't clear it out before i ran.

3rd run i ran 13.7 at 106 leaving off idle. i was really happy with that. my mustang traps at 106 and ran 12.9 spinning.

i'm looking at getting a torque converter, probably around a 3000 stall. right now i am looking at gearing also. i've got 4.10s in there now, but i want to go to 4.88s. where can i find a set for the 8 inch rear?

I found a whole bunch of companys offering for the 9 inch but nothing really for the 8. i saw before i thought but i cant seem to find it again.

i know i should upgrade to a 9 inch but short on cash right now so if i can pick up gears for 200 or so to help me drop my ET that much more before i tear it down for the turbo build. would love to see a low 13 second high 12 pass out of this car this year.

Good job Mike! Dont waste your money on the gears if you're not going to keep the 8" rear. Just do the converter. I bet there's a 12 second run in the car with the gears you have if you can get it off the line. You have enough gear just not enough stall. What were your short times?

    short times were a stunning 2.3 and 2 2.2s:rofl2:

with the trap speed i think its got 12s in it also. i'm thinking how slow it was off the line i might get a few more mph out of it also.. thinking 110 would be sweeet :thumbs2:

do a better converter and a set of 275/50 drag radials and hold on for the ride.

i would like to do a little tranny work i don't know how much it would improve my times but i got a box stock c4 as far as i'm aware.

by the way the 60 ft times were not spinning at all. it was just completely on its face.

Could probably use some timing and some carb tuning to get it to accelerate a little better. Holley carb right? We can retard the pump cam a little so you have some shot left when you give it the rest of the throttle when you leave.

i didn't even think about the timing the accelerator pump cam. i guess the screw on the arm is for adjustment? i was saying i wanted to get a different cam to put in there one that came on later.

Or the same cam in a different hole to delay the shot. What works best at the track may not be best for the street and may cause a stuble off idle. Its all about the ET though!
