Thanks that was my 1st atempt at using lead solder. I found it to be pretty easy. The DVD in the kit is pretty good.

:rofl2: Kinda all that sand blasting has made my NE patio into a beach. If I drop a tool it gets swollowed up in no time. Thing 1 and Thing 2 are comming over next saturday to sift all the sand and find my tools so I can get back to work.:rofl2:

Been a while with all the sanding and body work, but I finally got back to the drip rails I cut off. dscf0021_original.jpg Then welded 5/16" rod in its place dscf0025_original.jpg . This is what it looks like leaded in. dscf0176_original.jpg dscf0177_original.jpg dscf0178_original.jpg Its not as hard as I thought.

Watch the 69 windsor blocks. They have a shorter deck you need to consider when building a stroker. And what did your god son take to the prom?

He didnt go..he was injured while wieght lifting and couldnt walk. A few months ago he flipped his Moms Car through a light post at 65mph, costing 48,000.00. No one in the car was hurt. so I changed direction on my build. Hes not ready for a muscle car.

SRP makes a Flat top piston for the 9.480 Deck windsor. Every computer simulation I used from Eagle for a stoker combination had the pistons excedeing the deck hiegth. So I called them and they wanted to use a -25cc dish. So I called Roush, they hooked me up with the SRP Pistons.

More lead on the sled. I used nails to fill the trim holes in this fender, then finished it up with some lead. dscf0189_original.jpg dscf0188_original.jpg dscf0187_original.jpg dscf0190_original.jpg OSHA says not to sand lead but I did this outside with a face mask and gloves, then blew off my clothes with an air nozzle and imediatly washed them. I used 60 grit on a 6" electric da. The lead comes off in flakes to large to inhale.

Color looks good. Just a little lighter than my Gold wing. Color on the Gold wing is called Crucible Orange and was only on the 2007 model.:)

Isn't rain just going to run right into your car if the widow is cracked open?

It would if it rained here, but I dont intend to drive it in the rain, this car will just be a toy. I just thought that drip rails were ugly, cheap and primitive.:)
