Right now I am almost done changing upper and lower ball joints, and tie outer tie rod ends. I also cleaned stuff up and painted it with caliper paint so regular maintenance will be easier plus it just doesn't make sense to put it all back together rusty, so when I finish getting it all back together tonight I will post pictures.
Here are the pics, everything is still kind of dirty, but it is coming along, oh and Mitch sold me a z-gate shifter that I installed today, but I need a new cable, and an engine and transmission for it to shift, will take pics of that, Next comes the shock tower shave! Then I have to save my pennies for a motor rebuild, and have the transmission that I picked up for free gone through, then all that is left is some bodywork.
the wheel was cleaned and polished with some stuff called Zephyr, it looks awesome! I will dig up a pic of before.
Here are some more pictures, I also covered the dashpad with some of the cloth that I used for my headliner.
haven't gotten much farther, been busy with school, work, and I just started an internship at an HVAC company, but managed to buy some parts for it. Just picked up tonight Headers, P/S Drop Bracket, and Some Brake Lines. need to get some gas for the welder so I can weld up the shock towers.
Got the block over to my engine builder on Sunday, and will be picking up the engine tomorrow after school, it is the original 302 block bored 30 over. It is exciting making progress.
Finally got it home, Really exciting haven't made much progress lately, this is a big boost towards getting the project going. It is bored 30 over, with flat tops, an Erson Cam with Valve lift(int/exh) .448/.460, and Duration(int/exh) 280/288. Rebuilt Stock Heads, ARP studs(probably overkill but better safe than sorry), Performer 289 Intake. That is about it for now, Will have more specs on it later, still undecided on carb and Distributor right now.
sweet that motor looks like it will do the job ! you must be pumped... when motor time comes it's always the best part of a build for me anyways
Oh yeah! it has got me way pumped up. but now I have to save my pennies to get the rest of the stuff for it.
Put some new carpet in the maverick today with the help of a couple of friends, there are a couple of pics in my gallery. I would have put them in the post but I am on my phone. I am going to put the leather bucket seats out of my lincoln in it tomorrow. I will post pics of the seats in it tomorrow night.
