I bought this engine back in 1998 with the intention on putting it in the Maverick. Fast forward to 2023 this project finally got started. My engine builder friend convinced me to let him help me with the engine. It started out as a stock 10 over Boss 429. After he saw the stock rotating assembly it was decided to make is better. It's now a 542 ci with a 4.50 inch stroke crank long rods and custom billet Diamond pistons the he designed. The heads were mildly ported and had the 2 40 in valves in them when I bought them. He just set them up for the solid roller and checked them out. I had purchased the intake and carburetors shortly after the engine. Mike is not much of a carburetor guy so the intake was sent to Wilson manifolds and converted to EFI with 2 of their 4150 throttle bodys.body's. The engine dyno is next.

The old 351 Cleveland coming out. I took the car to Teamzmotorsports in Taylor MI to have the front suspension replaced.

TeamZ didn't waste any time cutting out the front suspension. They are designing a front suspension that utilizes fox body components. (Yes they plan to offer it.) This was the first fit of the Boss.

The transmission is about the same I believe that the engine is 140 lbs heavier. We weighed the junk that gout taken and cut off at 220 lbs. It weighed 2600 lbs before.

    Very cool!
Some electric car tree huggers will probably have heart attacks when they see this. Just tell them it runs on recycled dinosaurs.
