    Well....

I just thought I would post here to vent a little bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off... it has exceeded the "predicted" time of 1 month for the paint job.

2nd... The owner proposes another expected date of finish... MAYBE 2,3... OR EVEN 4 MORE months!

3rd... I am not happy due to the extended time, and the lack of ability to return a phone call.

On another note, it is looking good (what they have done), but there is still quite a bit of cutting and patching to be done on the roof.

I forgot to bring my digital camera today, but i am happy with the passenger side door frame... right below where the top door hing connected. There was quite a bit of rust(it appeared to be multiple layers of metal, or just really thick metal... i may be wrong though) and they didnt just bondo it, they cut it our, and replaced it with metal... and then smoothed it with bondo!!

All i have to say... is this is going to be ONE HELL OF A CAR.. when it is finished!

Yes... but thats a hard thing to get a 16 year old boy to comprehend... especially one that saved up money for 6 months to bring the car to the paint shop... and wanted it back before summer was over....:(

I was wondering what the status of the car was!! I can feel your pain, it's got to be hard to be apart from your baby for so long. But she's gonna be one purdy little car when she gets out of that shop!!

So they're doing the needed body work too? Nice. I need to find myself someplace like that wherever I eventually end up (best start saving myself then, I guess! :p ). How much is the whole bit costing again?

Take what pics you can, I'd love to see what they've done with the car. And cope how you can in the meantime!

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I'm sure it will turn out great, maybe in time for route 66.:)

I only have a budget of 1K for the paintjob so i'm doing all the body work, and this is my first time doing it, it sure is alot of hard work.:smash:
