My car photo at a car show

Very nice picture of you car! Kids can interesting at car shows. In 1985 or '86 I entered my first '74 Maverick Grabber whitch was red with black stripes in Super Ford Street Machine National at Milan Dragway here in Michigan. This was a large car show and drag racing three day event. This kid about 12 years old walked up to me and my car, He was waring a Maverick T shirt, same one I had on! He said he loved Mavericks and wanted to look and sit in my car! His parents were there but not with him! I let him sit in the car and I thought he would never get out. He said some day he would own one. I took several pictures of him with the car and in the car. He gave me his address and I mailed the pictures to him. I wish I would have got doubles. I have never herd for him again and I don't remember his name but I wonder if he turned out to be a Maverick guy or if he is one of the guys here. I won 1st place and my car is in Super Ford Magazine on the drag strip with the winners!! It was one of the best car events I have ever attended.

 

I don't see any other cars there...

C'mon Barry, he took best of show, best engine, best interior, best engineered, best in class, best paint, etc..... so what if he showed up on the wrong day Only kidding Chris, you know I love your car.

 

Yeah, I figured he sponsored the show and only invited himself and then had to hand himself the various awards after announcing it on a PA system.
