the floors in my '73 4dr are in the same great shape as your's and the one's in my '75 parts car are even better
Looks good Dennis. What are you going to do with the holes in the shock towers? Drill a nice even hole or make a patch panel and not have a hole?
Here is how to repair butchered up shock towers. Get some thick washers and bore a hole in them so a 5/16 socket just fits. Slide it over the grease fitting and slide the washer up against the shock tower. Trace any remaining metal and cut it out so the washer will slide in flush with the surface. Then just tack the washer in place, cut out scrap to fill in the rest, weld, grind and sand. Then bore the hole out to 5/8" and a grease gun will fit perfectly into the fitting. Funny thing was, the picture in post 57 has a 90˚ fitting under that blob of grease. After butchering the tower, the bozo ended up putting a 90˚ fitting in it anyway.
Dennis, i did about the same thing...except...i got a big washer and went around town untill i found a ...rubber plug...to fit it. then welded in the washer, stuck the plug in and it looked like it came from the factory that way... (didn't think about drilling a hole the size of a plug i already had)... ......
Dennis, The work you are doing is looking good. Very impressive. I have the same issue to deal with on the 72 Grabber that I have. I was wondering how I was going to deal with the problem, now I have a solution. Thanks Allen
