One thing about this system is it has no provisions for fresh air. Not a big deal to me because whenever I run air in my vehicles, its always on Max Air anyway, which recirculates inside air. When I did my cowls, I welded a studed ring on the passenger side so I could mount a drivers side vent on the passenger side. So if I dont need air, I can open vents on both sides. You could just block them off if you dont want them. I dont think moving the box over to the right side would buy you anything. I still have all the ac and heat hoses to run and the space on the right side gives me room to run them. Plus I have to get them through the firewall. The kit cost $945.

Awesome! I have always loved the dual fresh air vents, ever since I had them in my Pinto. And knowing that only non A/C cars had the setup disappointed me. I live in a humid area and only use max when I run the A/C as well. So.......Your setup is absolutely perfect, the best of both worlds--max A/C AND direct fresh air vents.

The only problem I have is the cost of the unit.

Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing the progress.

    Steve

Been making steady progress on the Comet. All the rust repairs are done. The bottom is cleaned and coated with Eastwood's rust encapsulator. I've decided to coat the bottom with Herculiner. Next weekend is Fall Carlisle so I will pick up some there.

This weekend I spend sanding. Got the drivers side sanded down to bare metal. It took 4 hrs just to dig all the old seem sealant and sand the rust out of the rain gutter. Once that stuff starts cracking, water gets under it and will rust out the gutters.
