    289 dana 44

    Hi H2o, I saw your engine pics and as I recall only 289's had the rod journals drilled out, if thats correct it should be a 289. and to Alex: I confirm all mexican built mavericks have Dana 44 rear axles.

    Not in all of them! I got pictures of several mexican mavericks with factory 8"s.
    I want a picture of one with a Dana 44 to add to my thread though:
