My friend just got his '70 Maverick Grabber back from the paint shop last week. It was originally Grabber Green but someone had painted it a maroon color, put Mustang tail lights in it and Mustang emblems on the dash and fenders.

He painted it back Grabber Green and used the single color black Grabber side stripes. He put a Grabber hood on the car and did the rear panel in the '71-'72 style. The car was originally a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed manual on the column.

It now has a 302 roller motor with GT40 heads and a Weiand intake and 4 barrel Holley. He is putting long tube headers on it with Flowmaster mufflers. It has black interior and a floor shift C4 trans. The car still has the clutch pedal in it and he is most likely going to put a T5 in it before he puts in back on the road.

The car currently has '69-'70 Mustang buckets in it but he has a set buckets out of a '71 Comet GT that he is going to get recovered and put in the car. The car currently has a set of Cragar SS wheels on it that were on the car when he bought it. He is going to put a set of Weld Pro Stars on it.

Should make a pretty nice car when he gets it all finished.

They did a nice job especially the cowl area under hood and radiator support are no overspray...

Thanks guys! He is pretty happy with the paint job. The guy that painted it has been painting/restoring old cars for most of his life. He does a couple of cars a year and takes them to Carlisle to sell.

My friend also has a perfect black dash pad to replace the custom covered one that is currently in the car. I think Grabber Green looks very good on these cars!

Looks good. Those window shades are rare. I thought I had the only set.
