All autocross group's in Atlanta use the Lot's at Atlanta motor speedway. My last weekend was with the Porsche group of Atlanta.

That's awesome. Love grassroots style racing!

And yeah.. I agree 100%. With all the newer style road race style performance suspension kits on the market these days it's silly we don't have a road racing section for all the guys who like to go fast around corners too. :yup:

What motor and mod's to it so far?

Well I was never into actual on track stuff till a few year's ago. Eight year's ago I was diagnosed with a progressive neurological condition. Fast forward... now I'm let's say "physically challenged". I had only restored n did the cruise thing so better do something while I can.
Had started the car years ago n never finished. So got busy n with lots of help got this one done.
It has a mild crate engine(302 ...350hp), rack n pinion front end,3 link rear, adjustable coil overs, disc brakes, hydro boost brake set up, tubbed , full cage, frame connectors, carbon fiber hood. It's built to do the left/right thing n go fast straight when needed. I'm terrible at the autocross but it's a heck of a lot of fun !!!
Need I say I'm for sure the only Mav./Comet out there. It's awesome to be different !!! Been told it's a inappropriate autocross car !! Lol. Until they see it run or ride in it.

I bet it's a blast to drive and has way more character than 90% of the stuff you race against! What do you think it weighs? Ever had it scaled?

I have weighed it !! I recycle metal because we should and also gives a few bucks to go with the good deed. So I took it up to their scales an it was 2850 without me. Hopefully they are honest n correct lol. I took a lot out but put some back with the cage, frame work etc.
I also have a 74 Comet built similar that scales in at 3050. I used the 74 as a part's try out for a lot on this one. I autocrossed. that one as well. 20160202_155247.jpg

You can definitely take some weight out of these. Gotta love going to track , cruise night's or whatever an not seeing 10 car's just like yours.
Really like the color of your car !! My fav color !! Awesome things you did with your ride
