I am planning on running at Gainesville raceway. Also they just opened a new IHRA member track in Green Cove Springs which is close to the house. The track owners are putting a lot into it. I will probably run there a lot also. If I can remember how to drive, and am somewhat successful at ET racing again, I may enter into some of the IHRA divisional events. I have a friend I help in Top Sportsman, I would love to take my car along to some of these events also. It would be a lot of fun. We ran last year at the IHRA event in Bradenton, down close to you... it was a great event... lots of fun.
    That's my game plan anyway.

Will do. I am hoping to get the car on the track for initial tuning and shakedowns by mid summer. I will let you know when I get it running and to the track.

Got the 347 just about ready to run. Plumbing and fuel lines are completed. Transmission 100% and new custom driveshaft has been installed. All I have left is to wire it up and run.I have not had a chance to post pictures in a while. Here are some pics of the progress. IMG_0326.JPG IMG_0326.JPG IMG_0325.JPG

Fuelish, ...Jegs racing universal master cylinder. I thought it was a pretty trick piece. It has the larger bore for My Wilwood disc brakes. Plus a optional bracket kit to mount the line lock underneath the unit. I had to do some custom line work, but I thought the brakes came out pretty good. Plus it bolted in place of the stock one with no mods.

More pics.. the car actually made it out of the garage for a while. At least long enough to clean a little bit.
I hope to have the engine running within a week or two. I will post video when that happens... getting excited.

I see you are using a plastic cell, which is the same as mine - did you add a sump to the cell and how did you seal the rear full line fittings going through the cell - mine is a Jaz 16 gallon cell and has a textured surface on the outside of it and I was concerned with the fittings leaking :tiphat:

    Bob,
Mine has a sump area built into it. I think it is a Jaz product also, although an older one. It has two fittings on the bottom, which is pretty standard I think. The fittings use a nylon o-ring on the inside of the cell to seal it. I believe there is also one on the outside, but like your cell, the outside is a wrinkle finish. I think the main sealing actually occurs on the inside, which is a very smooth finish. If you remove the foam in your cell, you should be able to easily access the fittings and check or replace them.

A couple pics of the cell, I thought I had a close up of the cell itself, but maybe these will help..

Did you get the fittings with the cell or did you purchase them? My is a 16 gallon circle track cell that pulls the fuel out of a top fitting but, now I am running an electric pump, I didn't want the pump to have to "pull" the fuel up the internal hose. I may need to find 2 of these fittings.

Mine came with the fittings. But you should get some AN-8 bulkhead fittings. That should get you going except if you get the tank really low in that case a sump would be helpful. As long as you position them near the bottom you should be good to go.
