lol.. yeah.. he's always full of fun and usefull comments around here.

I agree.. something as hi-tech as that mod should be dug up on ocassion just to see what ever became of it. IIRC.. the OP still has plans on finishing it and has even made recent comments about working the challenger LED halo into the mix somehow.

IMO, cool stuff no matter how old it is.

The "original" poster is a moderator...if you want an update, why not PM him and ask? makes more sense... Almost every time someone brings up an old post, the discussion goes on and on, and most of the time, the original poster is long gone.

Guys, seriously, not worth bickering over. I am hoping one or both of you is being sarcastic. Sometimes it is nice to revisit things like this and bring it forth for newer users.

AWE come on guys - it's Father's Day - play nice ......... :grouphug:

It is long over due I update something on the '72 that has these lights. I did have them on the car and all the wiring was perfect. I was in the process of completing the paint, which was a single stage Dupont Centari. The engine was done, all that was left was final assembly. Then something happened. The '70 Grabber fell into my lap and the highly modified '72 project was put on hold while my attention turned to getting the '70 Grabber restored to near perfection. That turned into a 2 year restoration and I've spent the last year showing that one. (see the Trophy Room forum for todays mega win!)

After completion of the '70 Grabber, I started to rethink some major pieces of the '72 project. The biggest was some soul searching about that single stage paint. It looked great, but I just was not 100% happy with it. So, I went ahead and stripped it off and re-shot the car in BC/CC. Same color, Grabber Orange, but it is way nicer now than before. I also tore the engine back down and made a few changes to make it a more street friendly design.

As time allows (this is a hobby you know .... :)) - I will be doing the assembly once again on this car and once I get the lights back on, I will post a video.

I agree with playing nice, but sometimes you would hope that people could work on framing up what they are trying to get across better.

I have used this site to gather some great information for the build for my dad and I have talked with numerous people via email and pm's. The one thing that has always bothered me with any type of forum is the people that seem to know it all and let everyone know it.

We all are on the forum for one reason or another. Some have different levels of expertise and/or different level of funding to get it done. I was hoping that this site would be different from the others because I figured most people into mavericks are older and have grown up.

Don't get me wrong, there will always be people that I think the world of and there will be people that I will have a hard time dealing with, but we should all treat each other with respect.

Well long story short I didn't even own a maverick when this thread started so I thought I would pay you a little compliment on those nice looking tail lights :tiphat:

And now I also know now to just keep these things to myself

I think old threads are cool to read, and if someone has something to say its fine with me... everyone on this forum has the option to ignore threads if there not interested...lol... Now back to the taillights, they look awesome. :thumbs2:

Thank you for the compliment .............. :Handshake

I personally, and as a moderator, don't mind an old thread coming back to life when the information is still useful and relevant to the Maverick world. If someone gleans and idea from my taillights for their car - I say great.

At least the pictures are still with this thread .............. :rofl2:

If someone purposely(and repeatedly) digs up old threads to rile up members, they will get an infraction. Otherwise reviving old threads like this is fine.

Thank you for the clarification - that one had me wondering!

Part of the genious of a forum is to be able to archive ideas, fixes and great possibilities such as these amazing tail lights.
