Franken-taillights! ... I love it. Nicely done! They just need sequentials now.

Gee, and I felt bad about chopping up two pairs of Comet taillights to make my "rare Canadian" versions, as Chip and the CAMEO guys call them. (got rid of the back-up lights).

I still like Maverick taillights...the Bobcat and other look to big for my taste but to each his own. I wish someone one would attempt my idea for removing the divider and making a full red lamp and maybe adding Mustang reverse lights to the valance. I think you could cut the divider out and gently hammer out the frame and re polish it. Then splice 2 lenses. Here's a pic I chopped of what I was thinking about. I desided to keep my stock lamps.

Yep the Carbon fiber hood source. It was the best rear end view I could find to see what the mod would look like.

    Canadian Taillights ..

I think the " dual Comet taillights" are a real plus + ..Are you considering the 68 mustang back up lights for the lower valance ? They work well..I'm building another Comet now and it's got the same treatment. I'm pleased you remember the old joke about the canadian Comet .. I use that one also when I show the sealed off cowl area. Working on "sequential" Comet taillights now.. each lense will have TWO builbs and they will blink from center to the Left or Right . I'll let you know when they're finished if you're interested in the pertinent info. See ya Chip ( Cometized )

why would anyone want to lessen the brightness of their tail lights????? I WANT people to see me stopping, I DONT want them to hit me, especially in my classic car.....makes no sense:huh:

That is why I don't tint mine either but I do think it greatly improves the looks on a lot of cars.
