i am definitly planning on driving it to phx. if i had time while i was out there i would definitly help you. you have time to do it before the meet still. hop to it. the most time consuming part of this has been the pedal assmbly brackets and the hard lines. what are you using for a pedal and are you going cable or hydrolic?

I dont really have time to do it. I need to sell my AOD to get the funds. I have a potential buyer but neither of us are in a hurry. After I sell my AOD I need to get the T5 rebuilt by a friend. Then do all the install, fabricate stuff. I was thinking of going cable but it seems like htdraulic is just as cost effective since I would need to buy pedals/cable/quadrant stuff. Will see how yours works out and Adam 74Grabber is doing the same here as you are. SO between the both of you I'll get all the tips to going hydraulic when the time comes. Hoping that one of you two will be able to make an extra pedal bracket to sell so I don't have to make one. Will see whats available when the time comes.

i know mine will work well. its nearly the same as on mo's car. the only difference is that his slave cylinder pushes on the inner hole on the clutch fork where mine will be on the outer hole. im looking foward to the meet!

Yeah Ryan once you look under there, think about how to do a cable setup you will be ordering a hydraulic clutch as well. As well as cost effective if starting out auto in my opinion. LOL

Hell I am even thinking of trying to ditch my factory brake master and see if CNC can match me up something and get rid of the ugly stock master setup as well. I hate things clutering up engine bay. The more I can get rid of the better in my book :)

Do you think thats why on Mo's car you need to play around with the bore sizes? Leverage point?

Also what clutch is Mo running?

I will tell on myself now, I agreed to try there 3/4 and 7/8 setup as they recomended:oops:. If I don't get enough throw, they said I could return.

Also funny how we all do the same setup but different, I am also not running a remote reservoir, again I hate things in engine compartment.

mo is now running a king cobra clutch and when we first did the install it was a stock replacement clutch.

useing the outer hole will give beter leverage than the inner hole but will require longer travel. the smaller 3/4 slave withe the 7/6 master will give more travel than the other way. i belive that the pedal gives alot of the leverage advantage of this set up.

i dont think the remote reservoir has any effect on the performance of the system. the reservoir that cnc uses is a really nice looking pice and i would be proud to have it under my hood. also i like to easly get to it to check and top off. lastly dont want to risk spilling brake fluid inside the car.
im looking foward to see how you do the reservoir.

diaphragm. right now a stock replacement. i prefer to have some clutch slipage and not brake the t-5 from power shifting. this is how i had my fox mustang set up and was running 11.8s. thats when i was over powering the clutch. it handled 12.5s with now problems. at that point i switched to a tremic tko with a king cobra pressure plate and a dual friction disk and aluminum flywheel.

so today i worked on the trans crossmember. i had goten a energy suspension mount but it was really tall so i got a stock maverick trans mount.

    heres the stock crossmember.

here i cut into 3 pieces.

    heres me fiting the pieces.

the stock center piece was too narrow to work with so i made this piece.

i then took the side pieces and tacked them to the center piece with every mocked up in place.

here i am welding the pieces togther.

here the crossmember in the vice after i welded it toghter.

heres the crossmember all welded up
    [IMG]

    here it is painted.

I got all mine installed, pretty straight forward. I did do mine without any welding(hydraulic clutch setup).

I will try and get some pics up next weekend of it but bassically used a 3.5 piece of angle iron (trimmed all excess) for the slave cylinder. And for the master cylinder (different design than Bryants no resivoir) used the plate for the parking brake ( i think thats what it was for) under the dash, and bent a piece of 3/16x4 flat stock for attaching it to the existing holes around steering column on firewall. NO flexing its solid!

Bryant I do have a question, can you measure the throw of your slave cylinder for me? I thought it states on CNC site that it should throw 1 1/8 I am only getting 7/8 out of mine. Properly bled to there instructions, 3/16 hard line no freeplay in pedal.

Its working I just wondering why I'm not getting full throw of there slave.
