name of paint?

    the factory paint code is the 3B.The other number under the chip is the paint manufacturers code for that particular color

    Going to use the 3N grabber blue on my mav.Havent decided which paint manufacturer to go with yet though.Have fun!!! glad I could help.

    We used almost 2 gallons of base on my 73.

    Maybe with the hardener it comes to 3qts. I am not sure but I don't think he painted the hood and top, did he? That would cut some off. As mentioned also, the primer or undercoating being close to color may also reduce the quantity needed...

    3N 3F and JB all look the same to me. Light blue IS starting to look good...

    Dave... green is not known for its excellent coverage(it covers like pi$$ water)the pigments dont have a lot of solids to them.Reds dont cover well either(and their expensive)Blues/dark colors cover well with little material.The figures in the formula are base line and should be altered accordingly depending on color type as well as size of the panels(big cars take more)but as a general rule of thumb the formula tends to work quite well.I only shorted my self on a paint job once in 18 yrs(darn candy colors)I usually end up with a half pint of of left over paint(which goes with the car) when I am done.
