Tim is correct - they are 200 -S wheels. I had the same ones on my 67 mustang in high school. I had 14x6 on front and 15x10 on back!! Air shocks on back and I had the coil sprg spacers on front Thrush glass packs. Sure do miss that car. Summit or Jegs should have the right nuts or a good wheel & tire shop.
I have always hard them called bottle neck wheels because of the coke bottle shaped spokes. but 200s sounds better and more formal. I think you got a good deal on them also.
Well, Dan's idea about cutting the lug nuts turned out to be pretty good. My dad took all 16 lug nuts and the four locking nuts and cut them to a hair less than 1/2 inch long AND put a taper back on them. He used his metal lathe and even made a little jig for the locking nuts that don't have a consistent square or cirular shape. He had a blast doing that job. They work great.
terry, let's hope they're not just working because they are sitting still. can i have the orange mav. back if they don't work on a longer trip than around the block? your friend...frank...
Tim is right, they are called "Daisy's.coke bottle spoke or 200-S"American still makes them.I really like the way they look.Good luck on the nuts.I will throw this in though, you need the washers and you also need to check them frequently for tightness. They have a tendency to loosen with use.A friend of mine had one come loose, ruined the wheel by the time he pulled over.Wallered out the holes.(love using that word)
Actually its a "briar" word.I'm originally from Kentucky.Eastern Ky.I grew up with a very unique twist on the King's English.I guess wallered could be explained as a hole that has been elongated or made bigger by accident or by a crude method.I may have spelled it wrong,it's more of a spoken language than a written one.I use these words at work once in awhile to confuse my co-workers.It's great when they give you one of these looks.Ohio is a great place to live, but I haven't quite been able to make the transistion to Yankee yet. Sorry, for getting off on a tangent from the original post. But I'll relate this story real quick. My wifes family is Ohio(German-American)all the way. When I first started dating her, they just couldn't get enough of hearing me talk.I pulled out that "hillbilly charm" and they ate it up.I used words they had no idea what they were.Been great fun for the last 26 years.
The value of Mavericks have gone up since you sold the orange Maverick or as my wife and kids call it, the pumpkin. I think they value has gone way up since my daughter actually likes the car. Way up.
