If you need the filler neck gasket, it's the same a 73 Mustang, and can be found at any Mustang supplier.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/71-7...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories here is one for a 71-74. idk about the interchange. My interchange catalog only goes to 74 but I know that my sending unit fit the 77 gas tank off of rock auto and I have a 71.
yea that sending unit i just bought but other people on this post said that the sending unit for 71 to 74 would have a misreading and about 1/8th of a tank on the gauge the tank would be dry so im trying to find a sending unit for 75-77 i found this on ebay just to make sure you guys check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-Ford-Maverick-Gas-Tank-Sending- Unit-Fuel_W0QQitemZ350295630533QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item518f3f22c5 this is it right
word. yea, that bit of difference wasn't worth the price to me. but I'm young and umemployed lol. I can't tell by looking at it, but it looks right. now would be the time to go electric if you so dared... haha
when I got my tank from rockauto it was all bare metal on the exterior. I sprayed mine down with primer just because I had it laying around to try and protect it, but I probably should've planned on doing some rustoleum or something on it before installing. just a thought. I also skipped on doing por15 on the interior of the tank but ppl had recommended it to me.
yea im young too got a job though and this is my first car just want her to run and be done right you know
there's nothing major wrong with it does have some rust on the inside of the pipe and figured i was replacing everything else why leave in the stock filler tube with rust in the tube but i guess i could just clean it out with a what??? like a solution for stopping body rust?
