Might be mine. I can't see the reinforcement across the top, the trans is in the way. I'll see if I can get a pic tomorrow so you can see what was done. BTW, I didn't do it, I had a shop do it, and I have had no trouble with the car at all. :)

MaverickDragger: I just slid my T5 in my 73 Maverick last weekend. My engine is still at stock angle due to a solid link I have from the front of the cylinder head to the front frame rail so I know it didnt move. I had to take a notch out of the crossmember reinforcement as seen in earlier pictures. If you dont need to notch your brace for clearance then your angle is off.
(EDIT) Nevermind, I just remembered you are doing this to your 70, not the 73 you list in your profile. So you had to move the whole tunnel. Still leaving the info up for reference though.

Also a pic in 302-72-Mav's pictures he shows the crossmember he made and the transmission mount. that is the Mustang mount. If you use the Maverick mount then you wont have to drop your bracket down so low. the Maverick mount is about 2 inches shorter.

For comparison here is a picture taken from Mashori's build thread

igoback70; I have a pic of the guy massagine the brace on my 69.5. It is still very strong and the T5 is the best mod I have made to this car. Hope this helps you out.

I could tell by the pick it had a ( massagine ) Torch cut.

Dragger here is a few pics i took tonight, i couldn't put it on the lift because there was a heavy Chevy in the way.

My cross member and Ryans look very similar, so if your going to fab one up i'd say the pics we showed should give you a good idea of your finished product

And since you already have that top cut out, do like Ryan has stated.

    Notch it.
