Well, fuel injection "stacks" are probably out......even though some companies make the old-school looking injection set-ups electronic now, and there's other companies that will convert the old organ pipes to electronic, couldn't find any used units for a big block Ford, much less a 460, and a new set up I did find for a 390/427/428 FE Ford was nearly $10,000!

    or one of these........

It's fake....a "Stacks Injection" type air cleaner that fits over your carbs......and even these are near $1,500!

Maybe a blower or tunnel ram

Yeah, never thought any induction set-up would make a blower seem cheap by comparison! LOL

Tunnel ram would be cool if I could find a set-up that could be streetable

Found a couple of decent deals on 8-71 blowers for 429/460s.

Anyone know of anybody who has a full frame for a Maverick, like a half-built, retired or abandoned race car project?

    Doesn't need to be back-halved or anything....looking more for a basic race-style front supension set-up that will allow the use of a big block.....a straight-axel isn't necessarily a have-to

    Well its decided

I will save all I can for as long as it takes to build the all new parts Cammer 427 that hot rod magazine did a few months ago. 700 hp sounds reasonable, from there I will use a soild axle from a early ford truck use single leafs up front. I will snake a boxed frame into the unibody and run it out to the rockers like an old chevy. Add a basic cage, give the rear quarters about 3 inches of flare and mget the meats to fill them. When that is all complete I will install 2 12 gallon fuels cells in the trunk, One for nitromethane the other for turbo blue. I will take this vehicle to every drag strip known to man, in operation or not. When I have been to all of them I will do it AGAIN!!!:burnout:

That would be a fun project right there! I hope you get to build it.

That car used to roam Central ave in PHX in 72-73 (Big PHX cruise spot in the 60s, 70s, 80s) I remember seeing it when I was 10-11 riding shot gun in my Brothers Blown straight axeled 65 Comet Calente. Back in the good old days when guys would stop at Central after racing at Beeline drag way, unload their drag cars and make a couple quick runs up and down before they got spotted by the cops

I'm going out on a limb you might be trying to post a picture and it isn't working? I think you have to have a minimum number of posts to do that, I'll post your profile picture if that helps out. Nice gasser!
