...or the valve covers, unless you are just painting between the lines (vanes). Aren't you glad we helped you straighten this all out for you?
If you do the intake, do it while bolted in place so that you paint the bolt heads too, or you can just touch them up after you install it. The bestest is to paint it before (of course) and use stainless bolts and washers. Also, use stainless on all the bolted stuff, looks mo betta .
I am not painting the valve covers, dammit.:evilsmile They are finned aluminum, polished on the sides (although not highly polished). I am painting the intake and I don't care what anyone says (guys at work give me crap about it too). There is no reason that it needs to be bare aluminum. It's been that way for 17 years and it's all oxidized now. Dan Hines' intake looks marvelous (and so will mine). Heads and oil pan are already painted blue. They rest will be painted after assembly. And yes, I do appreciate you guys helping me to decide....
Well don't paint them, dammit.:evilsmile LOL!. Just kiddin T.L. You could do a mild sand blast to the intake, it'l look new again. Justa thought.
By the way, in reference to the title of your post, Politics Suck and Mavericks RULE! thats my opinion:evilsmile
greybeard has his motor painted all black.....its like a Harley Night Train....and I think it looks sharp.
I say paint it green. But what else would I say? I should be doing mine sometime here in the future and I think I'm going to paint mine black just like my heart. So seriously I'd go with black. Unless you like traditional blue. Nothing wrong with that.
