The challenge provides the motivation, your Sprint set the bar by which I judge quality of workmanship in a restoration, mine included. A lofty goal to be sure, one I may never reach, but it sure is fun trying. You met the challenge the Sprint offered, now it's the Convertible...hmmmm...you better get your butt to work...
A little more progress, the rest of the car is sanded, wet sanded the second coat of epoxy primer on the fenders, I'm well pleased with the way they are looking. If I can make the rest of the car look like them I'll be well on my way to a nice paint job. This whole process can be a little testy for a first timer. I'm probably spending too much time on things that aren't necessary and not enough on things that are. Working the fenders first taught me some lessons I'll take to the rest of the car. BTW...Frank you'll be happy to know the handles and locks are off now.
Rick, looks like you are doing one heck of a job. Getting alot done in a short period of time. Paint day is getting close from what I can tell. Keep the updates coming, love um. Dan
Old Thread I stumbled across this thread and read the whole thing...thought it may be of interest to members today. I want to paint my car right but if I have someone else do it I want to understand the process. I want it done right as I will keep it forever...whatever that means...(lol)...
