Duane - thought you knew (from the B2 site) of my car ? Pintos do not have shock towers per say.....

Engine isn't in the car right now. It's being re-built, yet again. The CA build was a train wreck. Didn't even get to start it.

O yeah, I know your car, I meant I was against cutting the towers out of a maverick to put a boos302 in it. if I was going Cleveland I wouls notch them. but im not really into cutting towers and putting racks in and such. no problem for everyone else to do it. just not my thing. plus I may race Stock or Super stock with my car someday and that's not allowed

I'm all for the easy way when it's possible to beat the book.. but I sure as hell wouldn't be letting any potential buyer near my Boss powered car.. totaled or not.. with a squirt bottle full of fuel.

IMO, using that old carb would allow too many variables into the mix(stuck needles and floats are never good). My guess is that oldrodder's proficient enough at this stage in his life that he can easily make do with parts he's got on hand. Why even risk it? ;)

He was asking a question... He also talked about taking a carb with him, I wouldn't want MY carb ingesting junk from someone's old car in my stuff. I've gotten cars home when a fuel pump went out with this method, nothing happened. of course, you can't be an idiot and spray it all over the engine. If I'm not mistaken, he was the one asking for opinions??? :tiphat:

Of course, you're right. Sorry for the debate and I should have just thought it without typing it in. According to the situational demands.. I'm sure he'll do what he sees fit.

I have confidence in his abilities since he's stuck with us all these years without catching fire. Then again.. maybe he's got some splainin' to do. :p
