Well, I'm far from a good welder, it's kinda hit and miss, plus my mig welder is dying a slow death. Since It was a holiday today thought I'd give it a go....

Thank goodness, I'm good with a grinder, a little clean up and it'll be fine.....A little gap filling, and I'll be happy.

Thanks!, They are just the generic 64-70 short floor pans, but since Mustangs are wider, I rebent the side to center it up between the rocker and the frame rail.

I like that idea. I also have to add the inside curved piece like you did. My toe panels need to go farther, but they can be just flat sheet metal also.

I tried to make it look like they did from the factory, so I make the front piece separate, and gave it a small lip, so when you look under the car, it looks factory.

I sprayed some weldthru primer on the welds, just to stop any rust, it'll be next week before I get back to it.

I like the overlap, sure does look factory. Nice!

CJ Pony parts has some panels on sale. Just ordered a complete 1965-70 coupe driver's side floor pan, so I can do my front repair and my rear repair. Also a 1965-70 short passenger front panel. $78 bucks, all to my door. You are inspiring Dave! Now to tell the wife...

Yep, $78.24 for both. Free UPS ground. I did not price NPD...
No worries Dave, I just looked at the first post of my project page... August 2009.

Good to see ya making progress..... You got the panels fitting nice..... Welding sheet metal is no picnic at any time, never mind if you welder is acting up..... As stated earlier when the welds are a little rough it just requires a little more clean up.....

I picked this up the other day, while in Detroit.
Since there was nothing on TV today, I figured I'd lay it out, and see what it looked like...
Before I knew it, this happened....
So, it was the point of no return.....
A little more trimming and fitting, and I'll start welding it in.
