Water pump is easiest way to tell. 3 bolts holding it to the block = 170/200, 4 bolts is 250. Judging by the pics, I'm 98% sure your car has a 250 in it, but I have serious doubts about that being a factory compressor setup. Note that the compressor in the link I posted appears to be a modern sanden compressor, and that seems to be the only reason it fits there. I can't see an older Ford compressor fitting down there like that. Do you have any pics of the compressor you removed?

In the third pic the left side letters reads "SUC" and the right side says "DIS", there were no other markings on it...maybe its telling us something :(

That may be your problem right there. Ha, Ha.

That is a picture of a Sanden compressor. Definitely aftermarket....not factory AC.

I didnt really care if it was original or not, for $250 I couldnt turn it down.

Thanks for the info though:thumbs2:....but the setup is still wrong even if it is an aftermarket compressor....so is it a 170 or 200 instead of a 250 like the VIN states?

Take a picture of where the starter mounts. That is the easiest way to see what motor you have.

yup, a 170/200 will have a 3 bolt starter and is more towards the top of the engine, while a 250 has a 2 bolt starter and is near the bottom (like a 302)

yeah, Im really sorry about that...I didnt intend for my post to make it THAT far off topic...

I dont really need anything major, but I am interested to know what kind of condition the panel is behind the rear seat where the rear speakers mount...also interested in the A/C control panel cover if its not cracked, along with the chrome center vents if theyre not warped/cracked, the chrome doesnt have to be good, I can paint it, and the controls (if it has them) does not have to be functional(itll be just for display). (y)

Also when you get the chance can you draw out the vacuum diagram thats on the car? If its too much trouble dont worry about it, the vacuum diagrams that I got last week in that other thread had a bunch of stuff mingling in with stuff I dont have and I got lost on how to hook it up right...but your car is missing the same parts mines missing
