I've seen posts from 10 years or older about adding a clutch pedal to these. I have a 72 Maverick. I previously had a hydraulic clutch I put in, but it sits in a weird position and I'm struggling with the hydraulics. What's the current solution for adding clutches to these automatics? Is there a cable version?
There's cable versions but some people have issues when running headers. Easiest solution is to get a clutch pedal from another Maverick. After the pedal I used '66 Mustang linkage that you can buy from a bunch of sources.
I have the Malwood pedal/master in mine and it's been super. Very easy install on the factory pedal carrier.
