It looks amazing, very impressive! That console fits in very nicely. Everything looks very professionally done. Sounds like you have added several creature comforts as well, very cool.

Thanks for the nice words everyone. The quality of this car is due in large part to many of you on this board who have contributed parts and/or advice, so let me say thanks to all of you. Let me see if I can answer some questions here. This car is actually a Comet by birth, but due to a windfall of Maverick Grabber front end parts I decided to convert it during the restoration process. If I can scare up a good Comet hood and grille, I may just convert it back. The radio and EQ is a Ford unit robbed from an 87-88 T-Bird/Cougar. These were the ones with the switchable amplifier. I added a second amp (Ford) for the front speakers only and added a second set of rear speakers hidden in the side panels next to the back seat. The door panels are stock but re-covered with the tweed fabric and stitched with the factory pattern. In case anyone was wondering, I covered the dash pad with fabric because one day when it was out of the car, I accidentally knocked it off my workbench and broke it. I was so mad because it survived all those years without cracking. I was too cheap to buy another one so I just covered up the crack.

Thanks again for all the positive comments!

    Sam :)

Hey Sam!! So nice to see you post again. Great job on that console. I will definitely follow up on the lead I'd gotten on a Versailles console after seeing what you've done with yours. Will PM you soon. Take care and happy New Year to you and Mrs. Mangano. Later...John B.

ok.. i am jealous... you have a nice looking interior... i wish i could get mine that nice looking... and i love that center console... i kinda had the same idea, but now that i have an electric seat... i dont have room for it... but i have an idea with a smaller version of that.. made of metal... just need to find some metal.. and get a welder...
