New Drag Strip by my house! (Road Coarse too)

What all do they want to do?
I have heard it will have all of:
Nascar size track
Road course
Quarter mile strip
Dirt track
Exhibition area
Some crazy acreage...

If it has all that, it will be awesome.
I would often for T&T anyway, and shows of course.
We are in a black hole here in P'cola for a drag strip.
There is one in Mobile, Atmore, and Holt... but all are over an hour from me.
It would sure be nice to see this go in on the Beach Express.
There is mucho unused land on that road too, so no neighbors to complain about noise.
We lose so many strips in this country to cry babies that buy a house near a strip, and then get it shut down for noise. Even though the strip was there long before the cry baby...
The local govt should grandfather these in and tell the folks 'tough titty', shoulda bought your house somewhere else.

I have a cool place with a track within 5 miles of my house, called Houston Motorsports Park...problem is, it is owned by Mercedes of Sugarland, and membership is something like $24,000 a year, plus $500 per month use fees. No, I am not exagerrating.

Kinda sucks to drive past that everyday, and be taunted by the price tag.

When the local drag strip closed down for a year, they almost bought the equipment and moved it there. Luckily, someone else bought the strip and opened it back up before the expensive guys got it.
