rust repair

with the battery complete went on to the rust at the shock tower inner fender joint. made a piece of channel my self from 11ga, fit it, and welded it in.
please consider i am a novice welder and only using flux core, the grinder is my best friend. now waiting for the rust bullit to show up tomorrow.

 

boy at this rate i don't deserve a thread! Drove it around to go to a local show in July. On the way there the volt meter started to go crazy so turned around and headed home. well finally looked at it last Saturday and the new battery was totally dead figured out you can't leave a on board charger hooked up without charging or it drains everything, put in a disconnect switch. darn dummy! All this just to prep putting away for the winter.

 

looks like i skipped a year hear but i have been trying stuff this year. worked on a custom rear spoiler and torino tail light swap. have not completed ether but am not that far off. the lights in the spoiler are for the backup camera in the middle. The rings for the tail lights will be made from 1/4" stainless cut on a laser jet. i am having extras cut so i may offer some for sale after a while.
