well, we certainly are in an age when another gas crisi will probably bring another economy car boom; but I doubt the Mav will be resurrected...it was part of that 60/70s 'western' motif Pinto/Mustang/Bronco/Maverick/....now their doing the whole 'F' thing...Focus/Freestyle/Five-Hundred/Fusion...As sad as I am to admit it, I dont think he Maverick has the resonance that T-Bird and Mustang have....

I had the same idea too about Ford bringing back the Maverick. Could Ford do it...yes! Will they...probably not! Why? Like others said it would steal Mustang sales which is Ford bread and butter so to speak. Think about it, it would be lighter, faster, and better looking than the Mustang Ford cant have that. But I can dream, and draw so here...

    Holy beautiful dreams!!!!!!!
Wow, wonder if anyone here could ever fab up the Maverick to have it looking THAT good (and modern!). That would be one flippin' AWESOME extreme makeover, but you'd have to unload tens of thousands into the body work (worth it to me though!!!).

I'd like to see Ford bring back the Maverick Grabber, but I don't think It'll happen with todays competition
