Well, I'm still on the hunt. Waited around 8 hours until I finally headed back home. Guy never showed, never answered the phone. Very disappointed especially when he was in contact with me until the last hour of trip. Once I got back home, got a notification that the car had been sold. I'm guessing integrity of people is diminishing.

He obviously did not want to face you..... and should have made his "other" buyer just wait until you had your chance. That is a lack of many things besides integrity. Just believe that there is a better car waiting for you, and remain patient so nothing is overlooked in your searches. I hope you find something good.

20191119_111434.jpg I appreciate the back up. As angry as I was over that, I've moved on. Finally have made contact with a guy a couple hours away who has a maverick sitting under a carport. I went and looked at it today.

Is there some information on this site that I can go to about figuring out what the numbers mean? I appreciate the help of others believe me but at some point it seems like being a burden.

Your car is probably a Grabber, if you are going by the 91 not being a 93 in the vin 70s did not have a 93 vin that started in 71

The 1970 Grabbers (actually all Grabbers as well) never had the thin moldings. I can see the "studs"and holes on this car indicating it had the trim.

Yes it did have trim on it. I wish the PO had left it on, now I have more holes to fill. Grabber or not, once it's in my possession I'll be a happy guy.

If I remember correctly, the c4 behind the 200 will bolt up to a v8?
I have so many ideas flowing through my head what to do but my wallet keeps letting me know to stay in the reality zone

    Nope....

At least not without using a V8 bellhousing & torque converter. Also are built to lighter duty specs.

The 250 transmission is a direct swap.
