68k into a Maverick? Ouch... big ouch. All that comes to my mind is damn it must be nice. I could build one hell of a wild car with my own two hands for that much.

All the power to you if thats what you want though. It'll be plenty fast. (y)

Very nice car...I like the dash but take the NOS decal off, hide the bottle & let it be a surprise for the poor soul in the other car...lol

    Thanks

Thanks for all of the nice comments and replies. I'd take off the NOS label and hide the bottle, except I can't hide the MT L50's on the rear wheels. That, and when I open up the exhaust cut outs, that will kinda give it away.:rofl2: Anyway, Here's a question for everyone. I am planning on attending the roundup in 2006. Should I drive, or trailer my car. I noticed on another thread for proper etiquite for bringing a not perfect Maverick. I'm on the other end of the spectrum. Any advice would be appreciated.:hmmm:

Rutvet, not sure how far you gotta go but for anything over about 8 hours straight of driving or if you are gonna be racing hard and chancing a broken part, if you have a trailer then by all means.

stmanser, i love the fact that for that much money you were talking about who you would have work on your mav instead, not what kind of car youd buy instead.(y)

It don't matter what you do. Just drive the p*ss out of it when you unload the trailer and all is forgiven. :biglaugh::evilsmile:evilsmile

While I hate trailer queens, if you plan on racing it I don't think it would be very wise to drive the car hundreds of miles without a back up plan in case something breaks.

Thats entirely up to you. While driving is more fun, long distances and steep gears makes it impossible for some. Just because you bring a car in a trailer dosent make it a trailer queen. Mavericks and Comets dont hold much in the way of family and luggage. Plus some of use bring our motorcycles so we can do some riding too. I bring mine in a trailer but I drive the living crap out of it while I'm there. The fact your considering driving it is pretty cool. Cars are made to be driven!!
I wouldnt give Boyd $20 to do anything on my car. But Foose or Troy, thats a different story.

Nothing wrong with using a trailer!

And for the record I agree with Dennis, except that $20 is excessive for Boyd make it a penny!
