Looks like a really good set-up there. I'll really be looking to get the set when I get the spending cash (slow business during the summer here).

    Good news

    H.D. Belly bar update,

Heavy duty road race Maverick/Comet custom belly bar with included Camber Eccentric Eliminator Kit, (CEEK), in hand. See my ad in the parts for sale section.

Fitment: 1969.5 to 1977 Ford Maverick, Mercury Comet, V8, Auto or manual, manual or power steering. Will work with some aftermarket rack and pinion systems, that allow for the use of the OEM belly bar.

    Export Brace update,

Prototype still not welded up, Disappointed, yes. Keeping the pressure on, still plan on bringing them to The Roundup.

Getting more serious about sub frame connectors. Will keep you updated as I work towards production.

Hang in there, and thanks for your support.

Why doesn't it fit a 6 cyl car?? I had no problems fitting an original V8 Belly Bar on my 6 cyl Maverick.

Do not want to make claims I have not verified. I believe that it will fit 6 cyl cars, just do not have one to try it on.

    More good news.

As I have been developing the Heavy Duty Belly Bar for Mavericks and
Comets, I have been working on the same thing for Early Mustangs. Similar design, but there are real differences.

The Good News??? The final Mustang prototype has been fitted, and it is good to go. I will give the go ahead on a production run, Tuesday.

    Export brace update

Actually had one in my hands for a minute yesterday. :yahoo: Sorry no pictures, it was rushed to the powder coat shop. They will be delivered back from coaters this afternoon. I will post pictures late today. Looks like we will have 4 units at the Roundup on Friday.

I might not be able to make it to Roundup, myself. :( I have a 13 year old Lab that is near the end of life. I have had him since he was 49 days old. He went to work with me every day, at my Civil Engineering and Land Surveying business. I feel, that it is my job to take care of him, at this time, and do not want to leave him to the care of others. If he were to pass b-4 Friday, I will come.

So, in my place, another member of the Chassis Connection team, Gavin, will attend. Really was looking forward to meeting the real people behind the "Handles" and pictures, of this community.

Gavin, will have all our products at the Roundup. M/C bars, Camber Eccentric Eliminator Kits, H.D. Belly Bars, Shelby Drop Index Tool, and the mythical 'CUSTOM EXPORT BRACE":)

    Export brace update

I have the 4 Custom Export Braces packed, for the Roundup.

I am considering them to be advanced prototypes. Quite frankly, they do not measure up to the quality, I want or expect. Needs detail touch up. These 4 will be priced accordingly.

Damm, this has been a lot harder to get done, than I expected.

    Prototype

Thanks for all the positive feedback at the Roundup!! It was great getting everyone's input. Thanks to the buyers of the 3 prototype CUSTOM EXPORT BRACES. Let me know what you think of them.

For everyone that did not get to Dearborn, here are some pics of the advanced prototype. Yes, that means changes are being made to the final product.

wow, this looks very promising! can't wait for the final product.

two questions, though: would it be possible to have closed round mounting points at the shock towers like the mustang braces? and what about the two "steps" where the tubes mount to the shock tower - wouldn't these flex under heavy load?

Closing the shock tower mount plates is possible. The gauge of the shock tower plates is thick enough that flex at the bends should not be a problem
