In other words, it won't fit unless you want your valance to look like crap. :( I don't want my valance panel looking all deformed. It seems like they would have made the early model tank first since it would fit all models...just may not hold as much gas.

Not at all. The lower edge of the valance will rest against the tank. All it takes is a small bow to clear the tank. You can gently pull it out by hand. Once done, it looks no different than the small tank unless you get down on the ground and sight straight across the back bottom lip of the valance. The tank hangs down a little below the valance but it looks factory to all except the knowledgeable.

"Auto Krafters also offers fuel sending units for 1970 Mavericks and 1971-1974 Maverick/Comets. None of these will work with the above tank correctly."

Sounds like mixed matched parts  .

"I have supplied them with the correct fuel sender for the 19 gallon tank"
Correct for which tank? The reproduced one or the factory one?

Just trying to understand clearly incase I need to get them...
Thanks for getting someone to reproduce parts(y)

    Good news!
Just goes to show how the unity of a club can get things done. Even with Craig coming through on the parts, I'm sure they wouldn't be repopping those things if they didn't know that we existed and would buy them. Good Job Craig!

If Im Not Mistaken, Napa Has Made Repro Tanks For The 76-77 Cars For A Couple Years Now. I Think They Run Like 179.95. Im Assuming This Would Be The Same Tank That Craig Is Referring To, Correct?

    To answer some questions:

The repop tank is a 19 gallon tank. The fuel sender that they are in the process or reproducing is for the 19 gallon tank.

The tank is the same tank that Napa and other vendor sell.

To clarify: The current offerings from Auto Krafters for fuel senders is:

-1970 fuel sender: Only fits the tanks that drop in from the top....it makes up the trunk floor, fuel sender mounts to the front of the tank.

    - 1971-1974 fuel sender: Fits the tank that mounts up under the car with straps. Fuel sender mounts to the side of the tank. This gas tank has a taper to it to fit the cars with a rear valence. For some reason, Ford still used this tank in 1974. 1975-1977 had a square type of gas tank with no taper. Currently there is no fuel sendor to work "correctly" with this style of tank. The 1971-1974 fuel sender will "work", but it is short and does not reach all the way to the bottom of the square 1975-1977 tanks. Using the 1971-1974 fuel sender in the 1975-1977 tanks just means that the gas guage might not be 100% accurate and it will not reach the bottom of the gas tank...but it still will work.

The new fuel sender they are working on will work in the bigger 19 gallon tanks. Since this is the only tank being reproduced, and they did not offer a fuel sender for that tank....it made sense that they at least reproduce that fuel sender as well.

I have in my possession a repop tank and an NOS Ford gas tank. They are 100% identical in every way.

yeah, but your sending unit is infront of the tank, which means more room for exhaust.
