Bummer. Hope the cam is good, taking off the font end sux. Well on your car it will with the p/s and a/c. I just did mine with just the altenator on it and it sucked. What cam are you putting in it? and swapping intakes at the same time?

Did you ever confirm what rear end is in it?

    Very nice car.

That car is so far from "stock", it is safe to say that the Factory "Sport Accent" package is now erased. I will post a picture (sometime when I find one) of what the Sport Accent package looked like.

Not sure at the cam yet going to do some research on it.. The performer 289 will be for sale... the engine is very very clean on the inside..well at least the heads and the lifter valley.. i was kicking the idea of dropping in the 90's HO roller I got in the garage.. but i think this motor still has some life to it.. One idea is to put a mild cam in it and slap a plate on it.. and see what it does.. probably <<<<<KABOOM>>>> lol.. and i forgot to look at the rearend.. Bryant did give me some good advise on telling the difference.. hopefully tomorrow..

I have a Lunati Voodoo cam, with the 351 firing order, works awesome! The only issue I found was my pushrod length was short, after the cam and lifer swap. When I went looking for longer pushrods, Lunati just happened to have the exact size I needed...seemed a little fishy..but no big deal.

I was looking at the 11001

the springs on the car are a dual spring, no damper.. but they suck.. installed height is 1.825 and at that height they have 75#....fail..
-.497 lift I end up with 210#.. double fail... so new springs are going to be needed.. even at coil bind the spring only has 260# open...

the heads are 66 289 heads with screw in 3/8 studs, manley guide plates, hardened pushrods and Comp Magnum roller tip 1.6 rockers.. I'm curious what the bottom end is.. but not enough to pull the head..lol
