For anyone that gets the NMRA Racepages, check out page 123, Nov' 06. That car driven by Alex Shull(my fiance) is my orange car. That was its first weekend out(before I could reach the pedals). And then there is another Maverick next to it, another one on page 18, and another one in the classifieds under North Park Motorsports.

Expect to see some more Maverick stuff in Race Pages and Fastest Street Car soon, like a Cal Tracs install and Strange Brake upgrade.

Will your car be racing NMRA next year?

The plan is to tow it to Chicago next year for the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing. I will probably run the car in Xtreme Street for fun even though the class will probably be running 8.00 by then. I hope I can get mine in the 9.00 range with a fogger.

Cool, there always seems to be some good Maverick stuff in the Race Pages, probably thanks to Jake(y). It's funny that here in CA (where NMRA headquarters are) we always get the Racepages later than the rest of the country. It's well worth the wait though.

Maverickdvm, it looks like you have a lot of cool Maverick drag cars. Do you have any pictures of them to post or a link?

I am always plenty annoying and post pictures as soon as I get cars so most of the links are from this board. I have 4 Mavericks all to race.

My new one I got on Sunday, '72 Grabber(351W/C4):
    http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=26833
It will be a stroked 351W(probably 393) restored to its original color by next summer, street/strip car

My one I finished this summer that I will race in bracket circuits next year, '70/'72 combined(351C/C4):
    http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=24669
It will have a freshened 351C and a new dash cap cover this winter, fastest time this year 12.61 at 108mph

My one that I bought in August, '70 Grabber (6 cylinder/3speed):
    http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=25996
The restoration will start this year and it will be done late next year or the following year. I want it to be done very nicely and back to original(everything other than the drivetrain). It will run in the pure stock class with a 302(ish) and a 4 speed.

And then my drag project that I got four years ago that I haven't had time to finish since I keep buying new Mavericks. It is a 69.5 that is back-halved, tubbed, etc. It will start to get worked on this month again, it is going to get its rack and pinion front end next month. It will have a stroked 351C and hopefully be a 9 second car. I have to dig some pictures out to post those sometime.

That's all of them for today.

Yes, unless I buy more...(I still need a '71 6 cylinder to complete the set)

Plus, the paint is so bad now, we won't take it anywhere without painting it.
