Runs every SUNDAY, People start arriving early and usually over by around 5 or so. Depends on car count.
There are a couple of "outlaw" tracks in my area. one is the "Headhunter motor club putt putt Bush track". I have been at Twiggs County Dragway (now known as Macon national raceway)a few years back and seen some crazy stuff for instance: Two early `70s pick-ups racing and one had a Dog in the back! the Dog was barking at the audience as the trucks went by and the audience was Barking back! I`ve seen full caged race cars going down the track ...and you could see a passengers arms reaching up holding onto the rollbars while he was sitting on the passenger side floor. I`ve seen cars with 3 or more passengers racing and the passengers were waving to the crowd on the way by. I`ve seen a drag car siting at the tree waiting to go on a bye run...and a guy on a bike come by the tree as it went green in the other lane so he could race the drag car from a 30 mph roll! Dorchester Dragway...Dorchester S.C....when they say "Run What Ya Brung"...they mean it. Track is like ice with moguls after the first 100'...only open on Sundays...I've been their when their were only five cars running and I've been their when there were literally thousands of spectators and a 100 cars running. White folks usually clear out before midnight as it tends to get a little crazy...particularly on a full moon
