well don't feel bad. At least yours didn't break a planetary (least I think that's what is wrong with mine) and fall off the jack & ruin a high $$ radiator. Good news: there were a couple girls modeling & taking pics in front of the Mav and I went to the finals in the Mustang yet again & made a little $$$.
It was the lane Allan...next pass was in the left against that stang and it was fine...I fought it to some degree in the right on every pass..I think it was worse on that pass cuz my tires weren't in the groove. John I don't know why they were using a pro tree but I just couldn't seem to get the hang of it...that and they switched 500 to a 400 and then back to a 500 going into elims...only thing I can say is I don't like a PRO tree
Todd I can't believe you posted this with NO pics or at least a link to where the Mav and babes are:16suspect We are all waiting now
Hey Rip....that silver Mustang with the blue graphics pitted next to you...did you get to talk to him? Looks like Shane Williams' car. He and I run FFW together.
you made it sound like you did hit the guy on the wheelchair. a little squirrly but the run looked good to me.
I didn't get a chance to talk to him and there were so many contigency decals on his windows I couldn't find a name...nice stang though...he was running open comp class...definitely the wrong class for his car...these car were runnin low 4's at over 160 mph plus...I think his was runnin low 8's. Sorry ya'll I didn't mean to give the impression it was a terrible day...it's always fun when you can run and nothing breaks...I made the trip with the intention of winning some money...it was a 1500 dollar payout with a 16 car field...mine being the fastest I thought I may have had a good shot...but I still got a lot to learn.
looked pretty good to me. left and came back under it's own power and all in one piece. that's a good day in my book.
Yup...that's him. And Open Comp is his forte. Our ModMotor class in FFW is open comp and Shane's pretty damned good at it. As everybody else said......if it ain't broke it's a good day. A bad day at the track is still better than a great day at work.
WAIT!!! A bad day at the track means it's broke I would rather have ANY day at work then a bad day at the track. I've had some of them, it costed about $6,000 one day. Now that was bad day. Bossmav
If you don't break something once in a while.....you're not going faster. If you don't redlight once in a while....you're not pushing yourself.
