    Sir if you would please re-read my first post you will see it is a question. When you ask a question its the opposite actually. Your uncertain about the subject which is the reason you ask. I have never built an engine where it actually mattered if the ports were dead on. Thats the reason why I come to this forum to gain knowledge from more knowledgable veteran car guys(such as yourself). The statement i mentioned was not an implemation its straight from Chiltons Auto Repair Manual 1978. Editor: John H. Weise, S.A.E. Page U213. "When milling the cylinder heads of V-Type engines, the intake manifold mounting position is altered, and must be corrected by milling the manifold flange a proportionate amount."
