Honestly, in my humble opinion there is no reason not to build the car the way you want it since these cars are lucky to break out of the 4 digit price tags when it comes time to sell. As far as the Auto V/S Manual issue, go with the auto for resale or daily driver and the manual for a weekend play toy. The average person on the street today couldn't drive a manual if their life depended on it, and it's 150% easier to drive an auto in today's congested stop and go traffic. It's still fun to row through the gears though! -Scott H.
Numbers matching means crap with these cars. Properly built or restomodded cars always fetch more than stockers.
Agreed! It's kind of like a matching numbers Pinto, it really doesn't matter. Heck the only good thing about a Grabber over a standard Maverick is you don't have to chase the down a hood, grill and spoiler if those are items you want. I plan on tastefully tweaking this car untill it is what I want. I feel pretty confident the investment will exceed the value in short order any way so to hell with originality!
