Silver was one of the colors I was tossing around. Now I see yours I think I should have thought about it some more. Oh well. If you and your dog miss the snow you can all spend the winter here at our place and we'll take your place for a few months. I'll even leave gas for the snow blower.
Thanks for the compliments guys! Well Darren you blew it by mentioning the snow blower...I was almost ready to take you up on your offer. Then I remembered that in Minnesota I didn't have a snow blower, don't even know how to use one after 13 years of snow...but I had something better...a neighbor with a snow blower and lots of time on his hands!
Well we got the main hoop in place and the front down bars. Next we work on the crossbars and the support to the back bumper/spring perches. I'll get some pictures after I get home tomorrow night. It's tucked in really nice and tight! This is coming out great! On the motor front, I've got the crank and cam in. I will be working on the pistons sometime next week, a couple things to do to the heads and then I'm back to where I was...what...6 months ago???
Here are the latest pics. No gussets or door bars or cross bar yet and it's just tacked in place. But I must say, once this is painted you might not see it at all. The whole goal was a sleeper, but the speeds it will probably go demands a roll cage. So this is where we are at. There won't be any work on it this weekend, but my buddies and I are getting together next weekend to finish it up. This is going to cost me a huge amount of beer to complete!
Looks like they are doing a really nice job. The cage is fitting up nice and tight to the car. Thats the way I like to see them done.
