    I usually don't get involved in Pi$$$ing matches either, but when I'm sure of something I will speak up, especially if I'm speaking from experience. I bet no one here will disagree that sport compact are great drivers, and handle well, and can be very quick. I just think If (y) anyone was going to build a car for acceleration i would hope it would be a Maverick or RWD car at least.

    Time for this thread to end and everybody go work on something more constructive. Me, I got figure out how to take the 250 out of my Maverick, connect it a new Mazda six-speed tranny, attach that to a FourRunner transfer case, and make my Vega a four wheel drive car.

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    serves that maverick right...

    don't get me started on this stupid thing about how hondas are slow...

    get with it hondas are last years has beens... you guys got alot more other imports to worry about out there that will smoke your mavericks.

    wake up smell the coffee...

    ignorance is bliss...

    btw that was a mid 11 maverick er and crx too
