It is official! I have talked to Wilbur Green the Ohio State Rep.
I will be having a meet at my house! So :Welcome:
Lets make it a (BIG) Mini Meet! A 2 dayer!:woohoo1:

    O.K. heres the scoop

    When: Sept 17th & 18th

    Where:Willie Orpurt's homestead(you know for Mavericks & Stallions)
    Oh, and Comets!
    255 E. State Rd
    Lima, OH 45807-9520
    (419)641-2322 (H)
    (419)236-6441 (C)
    worpurt@woh.rr.com

What: Heres what I have in mind
Show up Saturday as early as you want. I really mean it!
BS & look at Mavs & Comets(I hope to have some Comets here)
Do a small light lunch on the grill (hot dogs ?)
BS & look at Mavs & Comets(I hope to have some Comets here)
Do a cruise in the Mavs and Comets:drive: :comet: on a
    designated route that I will
have mapped out.(Maybe stop somewhere on the way)
    Back to my place
BS & look at Mavs & Comets(I hope to have some Comets here)
    Do dinner on the grill(hamburgers?)
BS & look at Mavs & Comets(I hope to have some Comets here)
    Start the BIG camp fire
In the AM(for those that stay)cruise to a breakfast place
Then back to my place to break down camp
And if you want, you can stay most of that day(I don't work that
    Sat, Sun or Mon)

I did forget to metion that you can pitch a tent:hide: in my back yard
beside your Mav or Comet. I will have some power cords to run out
to your tent. It wouldn't hurt to bring your own also.
I think in the morning I would be able to accomadate this:bath:
    if you require.

I plan on getting with a motel that is somewhat close and discussing a
lower rate with them for those that may want to stay, but not in a
tent. Speak up here if you would like this done.

I will have some horse shoes set up. No pits. Just 2 stakes and shoes.
No big time here. And away from the Mavs!

If you can make it. I would ask you to bring something.A covered
dish, pop, dessert or plastic utensils or something to do with the
food. You tell me here and I will start keeping the list.

I will keep this first post up to date with the latest info. I will post a
reply, saying there is a update.

    I think with my 3 Mavs and Lonnie's(76BlownMav) 2 Mavs(if he gets
it put back together and the other put together)and get
Wilbur to bring his 4 Mavs and Joe Riggio(from Detroit) with his Mav.
    That would make 10 already!!!:bananaman
Oh yea, I should have the room for all that SHOw. If I don't, then
will have to knock down some of the farmers corn!:rofl2:

Rudy Bidlack is close. Is he on here?
How about you Shawn(Pres) and your Dad?
    How about you Craig?(Tres)
    Stefan?
    Other state people?

Oh yea, even if you you are here only on Sat. That would be
    great!

And if someone on here wants to fly in. Then I will pick you up at the
    Lima airport.

    Update:9-13-05
No one has said if they need a motel or anything. But the thing is, there is a big car SHOw here in town on Sat that is called the Rebel Run(more of the 50's type of thing) which a lot of people come to town and take up a lot of motel space. So they don't want to discount rooms.

I would like to get an idea of how many plan to be here. If you would, put a post on here saying you will be or maybe here and say what you would like to bring. If you can't bring anything but yourself and your Mav(or Comet) then that is cool.

O.K. Here is a food list of what we got and what we need:
    Pop:got
    Hamburger:got
    Hot-dogs:got
    Buns:got
    Ketchup:got
    Mustard:got
    Mayo:got
    Pickle Relish:got
    Potato Salad:got
    Backed Beans:got

    Plasticware:got
    Styrofoam Plates:got
    Water:got
    Desert:need(brownies,cookies,cake or something)

Willie, thanks for putting this together. (y) I haven't done anything all year, so it will be nice to get together with a few other Maverick/Comet owners before the year ends.
