Oil Pan pains...

    I havent installed it yet. But the measurements all work out. It'll be a at least a month before I get to it.

    A mechanic we know tried to the install at our garage. Pan wouldn't slide in - the back of the pan is about 1 1/2 to deep to slide in. Could be the stance of the car - not sure.

    He is going to bring a flat bed truck, load the car, put it on a lift, drop the control arms, install the pan and then get it back to us.

    Good thing we know him.

    :hmmm: What do the control arms have to do with anything? Im having trouble visualizing the problem you are describing. I install my oil pans from under the car and have no problem. Maybe I'll get mine out today and test fit it. The sump footprint should actually be smaller than what I have installed now.

    We got the oil pan in and put the oil in. Then we asked why it seemed low. We put in 7qts of oil for the 7qt pan - did not add an 8th quart to account for the oil filter. Added that and perfect fill.

    The lower control arm mount on one side is snug, the pan fits, its just a snug fit.

    Can't see this being an issue. :huh:
