Does anyone know why the 5.0 doesn't have one? sounds like a...mechanical pump thing to me also... Frank...:Handshake
Thats interesting I am doing an 87 roller motor and it still had the fuel pump eccentric on the camshaft. What year roller motor are you using and what did it come out of? Mine is an 1987 that came out of a thunderbird. Ironically enough the front cover had the castings for the fuel pump and the dipstick and all I had to do was remove the knockout and drill a hole for the dipstick. Doing this I can run the reverse rotation waterpump that was on the motor and keep the serpentine belt.
i believe i have a '91 t-bird block. i added the timing cover and ecentric from a '77 302 2v. im crossing my fingers that i still have the slinger from that same motor
Effie said not to worry about it, so don't! (sometimes I think she's the brains behind the whole operation in Macon)
