    The taller (Cragar) lugnuts allow you to not have to shove the socket so deep into the wheel. When it goes it to deep, the socket, as it spins will scratch the wheel.

    Another tip:

    Use a spark plug socket to install the lugnuts. It is a thinner wall socket and you won't scratch your wheels.

    May I ask where you ordered you lug nuts from because locally nothing is close to what you have listed that you used .

    I see Summit has the wrong picture with the 68187 - shows it as 1.8" but if you read the description, they are 1.4" --- I definitely have the 68187 L ( L is for long ) - I emailed customer support about the error in their web site.
