Shoot a burst of compressed air through the line toward the tank. Don't just keep holing pressure on it or you might blow something like a tank seam. Just pressurize, hold a sec, then release a few times. Probably the sock filter on the pickup is stopped up. It should just blow off into the tank.
It was the fuel pump, she's running now. I've got a small gas leak at the carb....going to have to tap it, the bolt's stripped. So close to getting her on the road. Thanks for all of your help guys!

Rag Before you get to far ahead of your self CHECK and replace ALL rubber hoses on fuel lines ( one under the drivers door and the one at the sending unit ) CLEAN OUT the fuel tank ( after all the yrs. sitting the left over gas in tank has turn into slug . and will screw up the rest of the fuel system ) good luck with your car Jay
The screw that is stripped is the lower left one to the accelerator pump cover. I've replaced all the rubber hoses in the fuel system. Filled the tank with gas and then pumped it out....it wasn't bad at all, I think the tank was dry when it was last started.
